On December 11 was announced the opening of the 2024 season for the International Experience Canada (IEC) Program, enabling nearly 90,000 youth from partner countries to join Canada. Applications can be submitted from December 11, 2023.
Indeed, the IEC promotes reciprocal work and travel opportunities for Canadian and international youth aged 18–35. With partnerships in over 35 countries, now have new agreements with Finland, Iceland, and Ukraine. Particularly improved ties with South Korea and the United Kingdom in 2023 too. Automation technology streamlines processing, supporting IEC growth and facilitating international youth’s work and travel experiences in Canada.
The 2024 season offers participants opportunities for work and travel, benefitting employers and boosting Canada’s tourism industry. Therefore, the three International Experience Canada categories include Working Holiday, International Co-op (Internship), and Young Professionals. Each provides specific work permits tailored to participants’ needs.
Moreover, the newly signed youth mobility agreement with Finland in March 2023 is awaiting ratification, allowing Finnish youth to participate in 2024. Additionally, once travel to Ukraine is deemed safe, the Canada–Ukraine youth mobility agreement will come into effect.
